Please note there will be only one vehicle pass in the race pack for each Ultra participant or team. We highly encourage car pooling due to there only being limited parking available and to reduce carbon emissions. If you wish to have more than one car enter Walyunga National Park you will have to purchase additional park passes at the entry gate (cards accepted). Please note the pass that Transcend Trails issues will only be eligble for Walyunga National Park and won't be eligible for Avon Valley National Park. Avon Valley National Park is not suitable for high traffic because of narrow, winding gravel roads and small car parks.
The start is at Boongarup Pool. Watch the start of the event, use clapping sticks to generate excitement and an atmosphere. We will also have some music and coffee vans at the start line to keep you entertained and energetic whilst the runners complete their final preparations.
In winter this is one of Perth’s most picturesque locations. There is two large car parks. Please be very careful on the entry / exit road as it is only wide enough for one car to pass through and is on a very steep incline / decline. Patience will be required.
Here you can drop off a relay runner for stage 2 and look at the beautiful view of the Swan Valley. There is a small carpark, however lots of room for verge parking. Please be mindful of people's driveways.
This is a stunning location with views down stream to the start line and views up stream towards Toodyay. Here you can drop off a relay runner for stage 3 and park at the lookout or park at the overflow parking inside Paruna. Please take care on your way to this location as O'Brien rd is a popular cyclist and also car enthusiast circuit. There are lots of large bends in the road, there is also a single lane bridge. Ewing road is a straight, flat wide gravel rd that a well maintained 2WD should handle easily at an appropriate speed.
Please note there are no spectators permitted at this location. Please drop off your relay runner for stage 3 at the marked location on Utah rd (just off Toodyay rd after Gidgegannup). The relay runner will be taken to the start of stage 4 by event crew.
This is the finish line location. Please be very careful as there is a considerable amount of wildlife in this region that might jump out in front of the car, especially around dusk. We will have a couple food vans for you too choose from and some activities to keep the kids and adults entertained. Bring along your clapping sticks again and chant in the runners to celebrate their huge triumph.
