This year we are excited to announce that The Rural Building Co will be funding epic volunteer kit that we can distribute for the event!
The prized Jewel will be receiving an RBC x Transcend x Tarkine Athletics shirt. Everybody loves how comfortable these tops are to wear out for a run or to grab a coffee! We have a couple other little treats for the day too.
Check out the below list and let us know if any of the tasks and regions are more suitable for you. It takes lots of people to put on a big event in a remote location! The small Transcend Team and all the participants thank you very much for helping us put on something special!
GIVE. GAIN. GROW.
On Friday the 15th of August participants will come to pick up their race packs pre race briefing which may be overwhelming for us to complete in an efficient manner. If you are likely to be available and are open to offering a helping hand we would love your assistance. Contact us below for more details.
To make sure participants can be accounted for, given the opportunity to refuel and seek first aid we have aid stations approximately every 12km on the course. The main stations are:
1.) Start line, Walyunga National Park
2.) Avon Ridge Estate Park, Brigadoon
3.) Walyunga Scenic Lookout
4.) Nissen Hut Copley-Dale Rd, Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary
6.) Valley Campground, Avon Valley National Park
7.) The finisher zone at Cobbler Pool, Morangup
To make sure we are aware of where the final participant is on course, de-flag the course and pick up any rubbish that may have been dropped we will have a sweep runner(s) on course. The shortest distance is 12.5km and longest is 16.5km, let us know if you are keen.
If you have a first aid qualification and want to help us provide the safest event possible. Get in touch we would love to have you on board.
There is nothing better than running out on course and coming past someone playing music or putting a show. If you have a talent you want to put on display get in touch, we would love to spice up our event with some special touches.
We have 65km of course to flag and 6 main points on the course that require infrastructure to be set up and taken down. Many hands make for light work and a much more efficient process.
